Bike trails in the Redlands are proving popular, with riders coming from near and far to test their tyres on the trails.
Participants and their support crews came from across Queensland, interstate and the Tasman Sea for these events. Riders varied in age and cycling experience with both relative novices and elite riders taking part.
Last month, the largest women’s only mountain bike race in Australia was held at Mount Cotton, with about 200 women participating in Chicks in the Sticks. In June, 660 riders took part in the Bayview Blast.
