Queensland Road Safety Week

Every day, traffic accidents devastate the lives of Queenslanders. Join us on Wednesday 19 August and have your say on making our roads safer.

Check out Council’s new school zone pace cars, which are now patrolling school drop-off and pick-up zones as part of our road safety program for schools. Enjoy a complimentary coffee with a cop and chat with local councillors, who will be dropping in throughout the morning. Learn more about attitudinal driving workshops. Sit on a police traffic motorbike and take a look at a mobile speed camera, a speed measuring device and other cool equipment on display.

Speak up for road safety and make our roads safer for everyone. Show your support by pledging to improve one road safety behaviour. Make your pledge at our community event or share online with the hashtag #SpeakUpforRoadSafety.

When: Wednesday 19 August, 9am – 12pm

Where: Park area adjacent to Capalaba Library (Noeleen Street) and Capalaba Bus Interchange, Capalaba

Hosted by the Redland Traffic Advisory Group, an initiative of Redland City Council, Queensland Police Service and the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
